Charity Driven 24 Hour

2nd/3rd March 2019

In it’s fifth instalment, The Race Hut Oxford will be hosting the Charity Driven 24HR Race 2019 on the 2/3rd of March 2019.

Choose from one of our incredible fleet of GT3 car’s to tackle the notoriously undulating Portimao – Circuit de Algarve. Battle through 24 hours of night and day stints and make it to the finish line in this, the biggest race of the year, all in aid of raising money and awareness for a fantastic charity.

Like previous years, two classes will form the outlook of the event – those being the Professionals and Amateurs. However, this year both fields will be in GT3 machinery with only fuel and tyre restrictions splitting the classes. Stay up to date with our social media to learn more about the class divide.

Pre-Event Testing

The GT3 cars are available for testing during any Open Practice session at The Race Hut.

Prior to March’s 24HR race, we will also be holding Pre-Event test sessions in which will enable a team to come and sample all 10 cars in a day and night practice session.

  • Test 1: Saturday 2ND February 4-7PM
  • Test 2: Monday 18TH February 6-9PM

Price

RACE ENTRY: £275 per Team

TARGET FUNDRAISING*: £200 per Team

To secure a race entry, a deposit of £100 is needed. Full payment must be received by 17th February otherwise the entry will be opened up to the waiting list.

Entry can be completed either through the online booking system HERE or by calling the venue on 01865 771 556.

Car choice and any custom liveries must be presented to The Race Hut team by February 25th.

* Penalty for less than £200 fundraising is a 10 lap start delay. Fundraising must be done through the teams OWN JustGiving page or through a cash donation prior to the race start.

Charity

Each team, as part of their entry, must bring an auction item to be sold in our silent auction. This may be a piece of memorabilia which does not have to be motorsport orientated however needs to have a target auction value of £50.

Other fund-raising activities will also be ongoing during the 24HR Race Event – which include food and cake sales, chair hire, challenges and raffles.

All profits from the entire 24HR event will be passed on to the supported charity – The Brain Tumour Charity. After some close involvement with the charity over the years, we are very proud to be raising money for such an important cause. To learn more about their story – click here.
