David, together with two good, but equally crazy friends, are undertaking the Monte Carlo or Bust Rally, starting on 21st July 2016, to raise as much money as possible for the Alexander Devine children’s charity www.alexanderdevine.org
The challenge is driving a car costing no more than £300 for three days from the UK to Monaco! Leaving 21 July with stops at Saint-Quentin, Dijon, Turin and Monaco there will be several additional challenges thrown at the teams taking part; and it’s all for charity.
The car of choice is a Volvo 850 estate, purchased at the pricey sum of £290. However, it’s been forever improved with a makeover using two can of gloss paint and a roller, to create a replica of the infamous BTCC estate car from 1994. It’s a trip down memory lane….

So why are they doing this? Raising money for the charity is the aim, but also fun along the route. Unbelievably there is not one children’s hospice in Berkshire, but The Alexander Devine Charity is thankfully doing something about it, and so you can help!
Sadly, there are currently over 360 children in Berkshire who are suffering from life limiting illness. The support a Specialist Hospice can give these children and their families is invaluable. The land for the new hospice was donated and most of the £5.5m required to build and run the hospice has been found, they have just £800k to find in order to finish the build.
Please find the time to donate to the Hospice, please give generously…
