Top 5 WORST Looking F1 Cars
As the F1 season approaches, teams are busy putting the final touches on their 2018 challengers. So it’s about time we reminisce about the top 5 worst looking F1 cars of previous history!
The 1970s were known for a few questionable things but one of main ones in our eyes was the March 711 F1 car. Some people like the look of this car but for us the tea tray is shocking..
The 2001 Arrows was a great looking car with a lovely livery. “Well what was ugly then” I hear you say… Well for the Monaco Grand Prix Arrows decided to place a third wing on the car in quite simply the worst place, especially at Monaco where driver visibility is very important!
A modern great… said nobody ever about the Lotus E22 despite it’s incredibly strange look on the 2014 Formula One regulations. A change in front crash structure regulations led to a very strange looking set of Formula 1 cars however this was the most definitive of the lot! And yes, the tusks are different in lengths… strange!
Another car featuring a different methodology around nose cone shape however this one looked awful in comparison to the other relatively attractive looking 2004 F1 cars. Nevertheless, Montoya and Schumacher (Ralf) drove the car to fourth in the constructor’s standings with Montoya winning the last race of the season!
Quite simply the worst looking Formula 1 car ever has to be the Caterham CT04 which adorned a horrific front nose cone. Another victim of the 2014 F1 regulation changes, the CT04 looks like… well we’ll let you finish off that one.
